Reilly Loveland Falvey, Board Co-Chair

SHE, HER, HERS

Reilly Loveland is a sustainable and high performance schools advocate, enthusiast and self-proclaimed energy nerd.  She wears many hats in the green schools world as a Senior Project Manager at New Buildings Institute where she focuses nationally on Zero Energy and Zero Carbon school design, is the Chair of the Portland Green Schools Committee and Co-Executive and founding member of Portland Sustainable Building Week.  She works determinedly (and sometimes relentlessly!) with students, educators and design professionals alike to bring a higher standard of school design to the built environment. Prior to joining NBI she worked for the Integrated Design Lab and Washington Green Schools doing research and energy analysis, as well as designing energy focused curriculum for K-12 schools. Reilly also has a background in finance and lending as a result of her work as a sustainability consultant for a Real Estate Investment Trust in Los Angeles, CA where she was the USGBC-LA Green Schools Co-Chair for Los Angeles County. She has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Geophysics, Environmental Science and Resource Management from the University of Washington and holds certifications and licenses in Real Estate, ArcGIS, LEED and is a Green Classroom Professional (GCP).

In addition to serving as an Oregon Green Schools Board member, she co-founded and co-executive directed Portland Sustainable Building week and volunteers her time to any school or community related project she can!  She is thrilled to be on the OGS Board because in her work she has seen firsthand the value that a hands-on program like OGS provides to communities as it unites around a common goal of protecting our resources and provides leadership opportunities to youth.

If not running around a school you can find Reilly exploring Oregon on her quarterhorse Buckshot, running or hiking our beautiful mountains and trails, or trying to get as many plants into her garden as the square footage will allow. Fun fact – Reilly was a Jr. Rodeo Queen!
