Do you have a big idea for a project for your school/school district to reduce waste, but don’t have the budget to make it happen? The Oregon DEQ is restarting their materials management grant program, which could be used as a source of funding for school projects that promote waste reduction.
This year grant applicants will need to partner with a local government in order to apply. Check out their request for proposals and get in touch with your local government to get the process started. You will need to contact the local government well before the December 14 application deadline.
Application materials and grant agreement terms and conditions are available at http://www.deq.state.or.us/lq/sw/grants/index.htm
