Our cap and gown collection partnership with Greener Grads has received a lot of attention in the media recently. If you haven’t seen it, check out the coverage at: The Oregonian, Sustainable Business Oregon, Statesman Journal and the Association of Oregon Recyclers.
Greener Grads aims to collect 5,000 or more gowns from Oregon high schools during spring 2015 commencements. This collection will be equivalent to keeping 4,000 pounds of polyester out of Oregon landfills. They operate with one goal in mind: to prevent as many gowns as possible from being placed in local landfills. Greener Grads in turn makes gowns available at a low cost to students graduating in following years.
We cannot meet our collection goal without you!
